The depreciation of the human body has always been a subject that I’ve found fascinating. Watching as flesh deteriorates, bones crumble and the soul completely disperses into nothing but matter can be a cathartic yet often quite sobering experience.

Cliff Barnes is someone on Twitter who shares an interest in the nastier side of films, and we’ve been connected for some time so I was pretty excited to be invited on the Devil Times Five podcast alongside his co-hosts Emily McQuade, Bryony No and Luke Poulton.

We spoke about quite a few horror films focusing on ‘Disease & Decay’ including Contracted, Contracted Phase II, Thanatamorphose, Antiviral, The Bay, Old, The Killing of a Sacred Deer and more.
